Clear Regional Report

Editorial policy

Clear Regional Report aims to make regional geography legible without overstating what maps, names or landscape features can tell us. We write with care, explain our reasoning and correct the record when a detail is wrong.

Accuracy and context

We check names, definitions and geographic descriptions against appropriate reference material before publication. We distinguish established facts from interpretation, use precise wording for scale and location, and do not present a map or a place-name clue as conclusive evidence when it is not.

Independence and partnerships

Editorial decisions are made separately from commercial arrangements. Any paid, sponsored or partner material is clearly labelled where it appears, so readers can distinguish it from independent editorial work. A partnership does not buy editorial approval or control over coverage.

Corrections

If a reader spots an error or a passage that could mislead, they can contact us with the relevant article and detail. We review correction requests, amend confirmed errors and make the change clear when the correction affects a reader's understanding.

Illustrations

Some illustrations may be generated with AI. Illustrations are used to help explain an idea, not as evidence of a real place or event. Where an image could be mistaken for a documentary depiction, we identify its illustrative nature.
